Cancellation Policy

Bright Stars Education enforces the following cancellation policy:

  1. Booked lessons must be cancelled by 9.30am on the day of the session if the session is from 3.30pm onwards. If the session is on a Saturday or before 3.30pm Monday to Thursday, then it must be cancelled by 9pm the evening before the planned session. Failure to provide this notice will result in the full session fee being charged.
  2. The following methods can be used to cancel a session:
    a. Victoria: 07714 675293 (text or voicemail) Please state the students name, tutor and time of the session.
    b. Rachel: 07747 181958 (text or voicemail) Please state the students name, tutor and time of the session.
  3. Failure to attend a session without prior notification will be classed as a ‘no-show’ and will result in the full session fee being charged.
  4. Pre-paid 1-to-1 sessions will be transferred to another date but only if the above full notice is given when cancelling.
  5. Year Group Clubs, 11+ Clubs and 11+ Prep Clubs are payable as half-termly blocks at the beginning of the block. Cancellations will not be refunded or credited; however, it is possible to attend another club session that week if space permits. Payments must be made by the second club session. Failure to pay by the second session may see the student’s space terminated.
  6. Cancelled lessons due to holidays etc. are not charged for as long as prior notice is given.
  7. If Bright Stars Education have to cancel a session, then no fee will be charged.
  8. A tuition space will only be held open for three cancelled sessions within a half-term before terminating and offering the space to another child (at the management’s discretion). If the space is still required after three cancelled sessions, half the fee for each subsequent session will be required to keep the space open. (school holidays not included)
  9. If you no longer require your tuition space, we ask for at least 14 days’ notice before ending your sessions (the subsequent day to the notice being given is counted as day 1). If this notice is not given, it will be classed as a missed session and you will be charged accordingly.
